
Ingredients
- 50 g oats
- 50 g puffed rice cereal
- 50 g nuts of choice
- 25 g melted light butter
- 25 g honey
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Add the oats, puffed rice, nuts and pour over the honey and melted butter.
- Sprinkle the salt and cinnamon on top.
- Combine everything well with a spatula until every oat, puffed rice and nut is lightly coated and the spread the mixture into an even layer.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes stirring half way through until golden brown in colour.
- Let the granola cool fully and then store it in clumps in an airtight container.
- You could also make different flavours e.g. adding cocoa powder, vanilla essence or adding dried fruit or chocolate chips after it is has been baked and cooled.
- This is the perfect topping for a high protein yogurt/smoothie bowl or with some fruit and a protein shake poured over!
