Honey Nut Granola

  • 50 g oats
  • 50 g puffed rice cereal
  • 50 g nuts of choice
  • 25 g melted light butter
  • 25 g honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  • Add the oats, puffed rice, nuts and pour over the honey and melted butter.
  • Sprinkle the salt and cinnamon on top.
  • Combine everything well with a spatula until every oat, puffed rice and nut is lightly coated and the spread the mixture into an even layer.
  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes stirring half way through until golden brown in colour.
  • Let the granola cool fully and then store it in clumps in an airtight container.
  • You could also make different flavours e.g. adding cocoa powder, vanilla essence or adding dried fruit or chocolate chips after it is has been baked and cooled.
  • This is the perfect topping for a high protein yogurt/smoothie bowl or with some fruit and a protein shake poured over!
