” I have made more progress in that time than I had in the 3years prior to that. ”

What a journey this girl has been on over the last 12 months.

Marie started with us on our 6-week Christmas fat loss challenge last year.

She lost 11lbs during the challenge then went on to do our charity photoshoot this year and absolutely smashed.

She’s now looking to complete a half marathon, has gone through a successful maintenance phase and is back into a short dieting phase before Christmas.

To look at where she is now to this time last year when she first joined us, I’m super proud of how far she’s come!

It hasn’t been easy for her… But 100% worth it.

“Wanting it is only 50% of the work.

You can want it more than anything in the world, to the point it physically hurts you.

I’ve run myself into the ground with gruelling cardio sessions, training 3 to 4 hours a day on my days off.

I’ve starved myself, and cut out carbs, and intermittent fasted. I’ve told myself I don’t deserve my breakfast today because of my dinner yesterday. I said ugly, horrible things to myself as I looked in the mirror. I wanted it, but those things only got me so far.

The other 50% isn’t gruelling, back-breaking work. It’s not starvation, or self hatred for not being able to stick to the 1200 calorie diet (the recommended daily intake of a toddler FYI). It’s not self-punishment.

The other 50% is getting the right type of help from the right kind of people.

People who have an understanding of the mental and the physical.

People who truly want the best for you, not to get a convincing before and after picture from you for their website and then abandon you.

People who will hold you to a higher standard but still allow you to be human, and who will listen when you tell them you are fatigued, in pain, hungry, and help you adjust your plan.

People who will let you rest when you need rest.

MCfuturefitness and Eve have been all that and more to me over the last 6 months, and I have made more progress in that time than I had in the 3years prior to that. I can’t speak highly enough of them and what they do for people.”
