“I started the Future Fitness 56 programme on the 17th of September after coming back to the UAE for my second year of teaching out here. Last year I gained a lot of weight because I was very unhappy and struggled to adapt to the new lifestyle over here. When I was home for Christmas last year, a person made me very aware of how bad I looked and I knew going forward this year I needed to make a change because I never wanted to feel the way I did that day again.

I had so many doubts before the programme and at the beginning I didn’t believe I could do it. I found it hard at first trying to find alternatives for certain foods out here and trying to find low fat and fat free products. As the weeks went on when I got my head around the foods/ measurements/calories, I really started enjoying the food and new recipes.
I also found myself getting stronger as I progressed through the workouts! Being so new to fitness and healthy eating, I learned so much in the 8 weeks and I’m now so much more aware of what I’m eating and how active I am everyday.
I loved the weekly challenges because they pushed me to try something new every week. I formed habits that I will definitely keep up now that the programme is over.
I surprised myself by sticking to the programme but I’m so glad that I did it and I feel and look all the better for it. Couldn’t have done it without all the support and advice from Matt and the team.
Can’t wait to do it again in January and challenge myself again.”

Matt’s thoughts;

“Nicole was the runner up in our Future Fitness 56 programme and we are so proud of how far she has come and the changes she has made in her life.
At the start, it was hard to get used to the new routine especially living in UAE as she didn’t have access to a lot of foods. But she didn’t give up!! She was able to work around it, it just took a bit more time to find alternatives and healthier options!
Her strength really progressed over the eight weeks and she got into a really good routine with working out as well as playing football a few times a week.
Her whole mindset has changed now and she feels so much more confident in herself. She really pushed herself out of her comfort zone doing this photoshoot but the hard work paid off!!
So happy for her! Well done Nicole.”
