Spaghetti Prawns Pil-Pil

  • 100g spaghetti (raw weight)
  • 200 g prawns (fresh or defrosted from frozen)
  • 200 g quartered cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons red chili flakes
  • 100 mls white wine
  • 20g chipotle sauce (or any hot sauce)
  • 1 handful freshly chopped parsley
  • Juice of half a small lemon
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 kcal spray


  • Heat a pan on a medium heat.
  • In another saucepan, cook the spaghetti according to packet instructions (about 1-2 minutes less)
  • Spray the pan with 1kcal spray and add the chopped garlic.
  • Add the red chili flakes.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes stirring from time to time.
  • Add the prawns and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the white wine and bring the sauce to a simmer for a few minutes.
  • Stir in the chipotle sauce. You can swap for any hot sauce you like or leave it out completely.
  • Add the parsley and squeeze in the lemon juice.
  • Drain the spaghetti and add it to the pan.
  • Stir well and cook for a further 1-2 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and add in the cherry tomatoes.
  • Stir again and serve immediately.
